Rear Brake Caliper - Removal

Caution - Do not spill brake fluid

To prevent paint damage, do not spill brake fluid onto any area of the bodywork. Spilled brake fluid will damage paintwork.
  1. Remove the fixing and remove the rear wheel speed sensor and bracket and position to one side, noting the routing for installation.

  2. Disconnect the rear brake hose at the caliper and place the free end of the hose in a suitable container to collect the brake fluid. Discard the sealing washers.

    Note the position of the rear brake caliper for installation.
  3. Remove the rear wheel (see Rear Wheel - Removal).
  4. Remove the brake pads (see Rear Brake Pads - Removal).
  5. Remove the brake caliper and carrier assembly.
